This site exists to help people in the Iowa City area understand shockwave therapy well enough to ask good questions. That only works if the information is honest about what is known and what isn't.
Sources
Clinical claims are supported by peer-reviewed literature or by official regulatory records. Studies are linked directly so you can read the source, and summaries state limitations, including when results are negative or mixed.
Regulatory language
FDA clearance statements are quoted from the specific cleared indications. We distinguish general shockwave research from SoftWave®-specific regulatory status rather than blending the two.
Outcomes and testimonials
No outcome, statistic, success rate, testimonial or review is published unless it comes from verified clinic records. Our patient outcomes page is intentionally empty until such data exists.
Pricing, insurance and guarantees
We do not publish prices, insurance coverage claims or guarantees. Those depend on individual circumstances and are answered by the clinic directly.
Corrections
If something here is inaccurate or out of date, tell the clinic and it will be reviewed and corrected. Accuracy matters more to us than marketing polish.
